Every player must read and sign this waiver before stepping onto the pitch. It takes a minute.
Assumption of risk. I understand that football is a physical, contact sport that carries an inherent risk of injury. I confirm I am physically fit to participate and do so voluntarily and at my own risk.
In consideration of being allowed to take part, I knowingly and voluntarily release, waive and forever discharge Bangkok Ballers League, its organisers, owners, officers, staff, referees, volunteers, partners and sponsors, together with the owners, operators and staff of any venue or facility the league uses (each a "Released Party"), from any and all claims, demands, liability or legal action of any kind for bodily injury, illness, death, disability, or loss of or damage to property that I, my heirs or next of kin may suffer arising out of or in any way connected with my participation, including any injury caused by the ordinary negligence of a Released Party.
I agree not to sue, make a claim against, or take any legal action against any Released Party for any such injury, loss or damage, and I indemnify and hold each Released Party harmless from any claim brought by me or on my behalf. I understand that a venue or facility used by the league is not owned or controlled by the league, and that neither the league nor the venue is responsible for any injury I may suffer before, during or after play.
This release applies to the fullest extent permitted by Thai law. It does not cover gross negligence or wilful misconduct, which cannot be waived by law.
I consent to reasonable first aid being administered if I am injured, and I accept responsibility for my own health insurance and any medical costs incurred.
I agree to follow the league rules, respect referee decisions, and act fairly toward opponents, teammates and officials.
I understand that if I or my team are removed from the league for a breach of the rules — including fighting or the abuse of referees, officials, staff or other participants — this is a removal for cause resulting from my own conduct. In that event I agree that: (a) my deposit and any payments already made are non-refundable; and (b) the full outstanding balance of the season fee becomes immediately due and payable in a single charge to my card on file, because I committed to the full season fee, the removal is caused by my breach of the rules I have signed, it causes financial loss to the league, and it forfeits a place another team could have taken. I waive any right to a refund or chargeback, and any right to contest these charges on the basis of a removal for cause.
